Dear Friends,
As the days stretch to their longest and the temperature rises, we student brothers have had much to celebrate. We recently welcomed the Master of the Order, Father Gerard Francisco Timoner (the 87th successor of Saint Dominic), to our province. Days later, we witnessed the ordination to the priesthood of seven of our brothers by a fellow Dominican, Archbishop Anthony Fisher of Sydney, Australia. Now, the brothers have taken to train, car, and plane to reach their summer assignments scattered across the province and the globe.
After this hectic time, we reach a leisurely change of pace for Dominicana. We will continue biweekly posts through June, pause during July, and resume in August. Tuesday posts will constitute a reading (or listening) recommendation, while Thursday posts will be in our usual style.
Please be assured of our prayers for you this summer, and please pray for us.
